Innovation 4.0 Institute, together with University of Madeira, is organizing the 2nd International Conference on Societal Automation.

Innovation 4.0 Institute organized, in cooperation with the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, an international conference on societal automation. The Conference, held on the AGH UST campus, was the first event in a series planned for the upcoming years attempting to look in a holistic way at the Societal Automation domain in order to try to determine what solutions, technologies, architectural frameworks, and design tools are going to be needed in the design, development and deployment of future human-centered life-quality improving solutions and systems (such as Cities of the Future, for instance), as well as economic aspects of innovation and new technology development.
The Conference featured a host of presentations by distinguished speakers from academia and industry, to mention: John S. Baras, Professor and Lockheed Martin Chair in Systems Engineering at the Institute for Systems Research, University of Maryland at College Park, USA; Prof. Rolf Ernst and Dr. Adam Kostrzewa from the Institute of Computer and Network Engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany; Prof. Vincenzo Piuri, Fellow of the IEEE, Department of Computer Science, University of Milan, Italy; Prof. Jacek M. Innovation Ecosystems Summit Featured Top Executives from Leading International Hi-tech and Venture Capital and Investment Firms
Innovation 4.0 Institute organized, together with the AGH University of Science and Technology University in Krakow (AGH UST), the first Innovation Ecosystem Summit on 10 May, held at the campus of the AGH UST.
Top executives from major international hi-tech firms from Europe and the USA responsible for innovation & technology and technology acquisition, as well as executives from international venture capital and investment firms, talked about policies and practices of their firms regarding innovation, technology acquisition, funding for technology development, and tangible benefits their companies derive from the activities of hi-tech startups and small technology firms.
The Summit offered a unique insight into policies and practices of the hi-tech industry leaders with respect to innovation, technology acquisition and funding of technology development. The presentations were in the context of innovation ecosystems essential to the success of hi-tech startups.
This was the first ever gathering in Central Europe of hi-tech industry leaders. Not to be missed!
